Pros

Tagliata still has some of the hype it started with, so there is still money to be made. Because shifts are so long, servers qualify for insurance benefits, which aren't too bad for the industry. Owners and upper management for Atlas are good, they seem to have a good vision for the company as a whole.

Cons

Restaurant level management is horrible. Manager favorites will get the best of everything, while doing the least to earn it. Managing partners are extremely verbally abusive, unless upper management or owners are present.

Pros

Good atmosphere and nice people to work with. Fostered a team atmosphere very nicely. Resolved any internal issues effectively. You become passionate about the food you're serving which allows you to give better customer service, If you're good at what you do, you get regulars who you start to form a genuine bond with.

Cons

For as many times as you see and interact with upper management, they will always believe they are better than you in every sense of life. I interacted with the owners many, many times and they never bothered to remember my name. No auto-gratuity. Groups will spend hundreds of dollars and tip you $10 and write "loved your service!" on the receipt as if it makes a difference in your life. There is a dress code, but it seems to only apply to a racial minority. Saw the dress code be dismissed several times for large groups of white people while at the same time large groups of black or hispanic people were not allowed service because of what they were wearing. Complete conflict of morals.

Pros

Great Tips, overall pretty easy to learn. Food was tasty. Standards are not enforced so you can pretty much do as you like.

Cons

Over the time I worked there I witnessed blatant double standards for people of color vs majority clients. This is enforced at the door and often was not consistent. They have a dress code that they use to seat the "on brand crowd". The group is a boys club where women are treated poorly. Managers turnover is constant. There is an attitude that all staff is expendable and they make no effort to retain top talent. This is a great position if you are interested in working for a company that perpetuates the marginalization of minority populations. Very disorganized as well.
