Pros

Completely new culture for myself, spent years in a hierarchal quagmire that left me bemused and bewildered. Leadership from the top is so friendly and welcoming , but most of all genuine!

Cons

Still to find any real issues. A new company in our area, so still finding our feet in some fields , but full of confidence for the future

Pros

Oh boy, where do I even begin with the "Pros" of working at Avaap? It's truly a remarkable experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. But hey, let's dive into the sarcasm pool and explore the so-called "positives" of this employment disaster: "Ethical Company": Ah, yes, Avaap proudly claims to be an ethical company. If by "ethical" they mean engaging in shady practices, favoring friends and family, and turning a blind eye to discrimination, then sure, they've got the ethics game down pat. "Work-Life Balance": Who needs a balanced life when you can have the joy of working endless hours, including weekends and holidays? Forget about personal relationships, hobbies, and any semblance of a life outside the office. Avaap truly believes that your entire existence should revolve around your work. How thoughtful of them! "Positive Work Environment": The atmosphere at Avaap is absolutely electric! If by "electric" you mean a constant state of fear, stress, and negativity. There's nothing quite like the thrill of being publicly humiliated and blamed for every mistake, while compliments and constructive feedback are as rare as a unicorn sighting. "Amazing Management": Oh, the management team at Avaap is a sight to behold! They possess a unique talent for making baffling decisions, communicating poorly, and leaving their employees in a constant state of confusion. It's truly inspiring to witness such remarkable leadership skills—or lack thereof. "Endless Growth Opportunities": Who needs career growth and development when you can stagnate in one position indefinitely? Avaap's promise of growth is nothing short of a mirage. Training programs? Forget about it! You'll be left to navigate the treacherous waters of your job all by yourself. How thrilling! "Financial Stability": Ah, the sweet serenity of rumors of impending layoffs. Nothing says "financial stability" quite like questioning whether you'll be able to pay your bills on time. It's the ultimate adventure in financial uncertainty that keeps you on your toes! All in all, if you're a fan of unethical practices, an imbalanced work-life ratio, a toxic work environment, inept management, nonexistent growth opportunities, and financial instability, then Avaap is the place for you! But if you value your sanity and well-being, run as far away from this employment nightmare as possible.

Cons

Working at Avaap has been an absolute nightmare from the beginning. This review aims to shed light on the numerous issues I encountered during my employment, highlighting the company's utter disregard for employee well-being and a lack of professionalism across the board. Unethical Practices: Avaap prides itself on being an ethical company, but my experience proved otherwise. I witnessed management engaging in unethical practices such as favoritism, nepotism, and discrimination. Meritocracy was non-existent, as promotions and rewards were solely based on personal connections rather than actual skills and performance. Poor Work-Life Balance: Avaap expects its employees to prioritize work above all else. The workload was overwhelming, with unreasonably tight deadlines and an expectation to work long hours, including weekends and holidays. This led to an extreme lack of work-life balance, causing burnout and negatively impacting personal relationships. Toxic Work Environment: The office culture at Avaap was toxic and demoralizing. There was a severe lack of respect and appreciation for employees' contributions. Instead, there was a constant blame game, where mistakes were exaggerated and public humiliation was the norm. Constructive feedback and support were non-existent, creating a hostile and demotivating atmosphere. Incompetent Management: The management at Avaap proved to be utterly incompetent. They lacked the necessary leadership skills to guide and support their teams effectively. Communication was abysmal, with crucial information withheld or disseminated haphazardly. Decisions were made without considering the impact on employees, leading to confusion and frustration. Stagnant Growth Opportunities: Despite promises of growth and development, Avaap failed to provide any meaningful opportunities for career advancement. Training programs were inadequate, and employees were left to figure things out on their own. The company's lack of investment in employee development only served to hinder professional growth and dampen morale. Questionable Financial Practices: During my time at Avaap, there were concerning indications of financial mismanagement. Late salary payments, sudden budget cuts, and rumors of layoffs created a constant state of insecurity among employees. These actions reflected poorly on the company's stability and integrity. In conclusion, my experience at Avaap was nothing short of a disaster. The company's unethical practices, poor work-life balance, toxic work environment, incompetent management, lack of growth opportunities, and questionable financial practices make it an employer to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the misery and look for a company that values its employees and fosters a supportive and nurturing work environment.

Pros

Since the merger between Avaap and Navigator, the culture has not shifted too significantly, which was an early fear. There is talk about strengthening ties between business units. There needs to be more action to integrate business units. Minimal furloughs caused by COVID-19 changes in client billable work.

Cons

Legacy Navigators experienced reductions in benefits and bonuses when moving over to Avaap, often totalling several thousands of dollars. Benefits changed from very good to competitive. Many long-time employees have either left or have been looking for other opportunities.
