Axcelis would have been a great company if only they decided to keep up with the times. They currently sell outdated technology and they aren't looking to improve, rather they are simply trying to stay afloat. There is absolutely no communication between engineering and manufacturing, and no one is accountable for mistakes, especially if they're from upper management. I also felt that there was a huge gap in working culture. Most of my colleagues who were of younger age felt that they were underpaid and overworked, with no flexibility or a chance to voice their opinions. As you can see in most of these reviews, Axcelis has quite the high turnover rate. In my truest opinion I believe it is because there is little to no room to grow. People aren't excited transfer into engineering where they will again feel underpaid and overworked.
