Pros

The HQ is in a great building in the center of Paris

Cons

Some of the upper management were rude, mean, judgemental, and a bit racist with Americans. The poor pay, horrible hours, and snobby co-workers were the icing on this biter cake. Left after a year.

Pros

The pros are that working on the British contract, you get paid a fixed monthly salary and the other teachers working there formed a friendly community. Most students were lovely.

Cons

All decisions are made based on profit with no consideration for the rights of the teachers that work there. As you get paid a fixed salary your schedule is completely out of your hands. You are available to the school all the time and have no right to refuse a class. Schedules are basically exhausting and unrealistic. 'Breaks' were often sitting on the metro between classes. Working this hard would have been bareable if it was appreciated but the magagement were uncopoerative, intimidating and even bullied members of staff while I was there. When they suspected a fellow teacher was going to resign they tried to fire her for 'having a bad attitude' with no evidence to back up their claim. Sick days and holidays were extremely difficult to obtain even for weddings and funerals.
