Pros

Good commission, basically £20,000 in sales = £800, average bathroom will sell for about £3k, average installation will sell for about £7-11k. Get to use company car to go to customers houses, sometimes you might spend 4 hours just going to peoples houses and measuring up. Good place for an entry level sales person. I started here now I'm a regional sales manager. Get to learn how to design bathrooms on a computer.

Cons

CUSTOMERS CALL TO ASK FOR A REFUND AND YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE IT TO THEM AND YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM. Loooong hours, when you're lone working (2-3 times a week), you can't leave the store from 8-6pm, no lunch, nothing. Some months, there's no customers and you just get a salary of £1100 (which is not enough) You're managers will make you HOUND customers, as soon as they leave the store, you have to call them 97763 times to pressure them into a sale, this is something the managers insist on.

Pros

Good environment to hard sell via the design process. 'Face of business', marketing, branding and PR are good and hide the terrible secrets within.

Cons

Shocking treatment of staff, long hours and required to work without choice on weekends and for weeks with no break on sale periods. Massive alignment issue with how business is marketed and branded and how it is actually ran in store at a customer level. Truly shocking. Hard sell environment with little care for customers, only getting their money. Business ran only in light of short term sales figures not long term reputation and success of business as a customer focuses brand. This is wrong in context to how a customer actually buys a bathroom as it is s large investment purchase. Business structure is incredibly complicated meaning many mistakes and many dissatisfied customers. Correction process is also very very poor. Could be an honest thriving reputable company but greed and short term profit thinking severely limit the long term success of the company. In summary a profit and hard sales driven company in a market which demands customer focus and care to establish trust and gain a consistently good reputation and consistent sales and happy customers. Very very poor. A terrible business model.

Pros

You will earn more than being unemployed. It will teach you what you don't want from a job. It will make you realise how much you miss your family at key times of the year!

Cons

Where do I start.....the pay, in comparison to jobs of the same nature the pay is low. You will be lone working a lot, asked to work at different stores at little or no notice. You will be required to complete work in your own time. You will work from Boxing Day to at least mid/late January without a day off and encouraged to work until the end of fed with no days off, although they will pay you overtime for this if your manager remembers to put that info into the system, this is not negotiable. You may occasionally get a Christmas meal courtesy of the company if they don't spend too much money on the managers night out in which case on the day of the meal they will tell you that you have to pay yourself. Workplace bullying is a daily occurrence from middle and upper management, if your face doesn't fit do yourself a favour and find yourself a new job because they WILL SACK YOU for any reason they feel fit. Lots of customer issues with their installation service which is fine if you aren't in a customer facing role. Short of it, stressful job with a salary and benefit that doesn't match. Thankless job.
