Pros

Was a great place to learn, and grow. I was fortunate enough to begin a great career at Bauer under supportive leadership at the time. It was a great place to work for many years.

Cons

Current stat of the company leaves a lot to be desired. Many long term employees have left do to poor management from the highest of leadership. The struggles in trying to stay relevant have made for a president that regularly micro manages to the point of constant disruption in most every department. The long term employees that have left have taken great knowledge with them and many have not been replaced with suitable professionals.

Interesting product line. Some good people to learn from.

Cons

President is out of touch. He is unrealistic and drives off any talented people because they do not agree with him

Pros

Numerous opportunities to excel in highly technical engineering and applied physics areas: mechanical, electrical, quality assurance, metrology, infrared thermography, optical, vibration and sound level analysis. Many opportunities also exist in every major field of industrial engineering technology including quality control, hands-on assembly, fabrication, robotics, procurement, warehousing, etc. High demand for information technology, technical sales, accounting and finance. Senior management is visionary and supportive of employees with incentives for education, performance, and longevity. Family-owned business with history of innovation, technological leadership, and willingness to develop products tailored to customer needs and emerging technology. Generous contribution to employees' 401K. Friendly and personal environment in which to work.

Cons

This is not your mother's compressor store. Developing complex, high-pressure systems never built before poses challenges in a fast-paced environment that goes beyond "routine" R&D, redesign, and rework for system optimization, which can sometimes lead to frustration and delays. This can produce reactive rather than proactive management. General health insurance is not the best, the though dental insurance is among the best.
