Pros

You get an employee discount on a few nice brands. Make some great friends with clients and coworkers. That's about it.

Cons

The company is stuck between wanting to seem higher end with "style sessions" and carry nicer products ranging from $100-$200, but also catering to the exact same clientele as Francesca's where nearly identical product can be found for half the price. Bevello is confusing. They want their average client to be the late 20s/early 30s professional with the income of a 40 something, yet market themselves to college age girls who most likely shop on a budget. They do not like to invest, encourage, and develop employees. They like to instill fear and questions of job security in order to receive productivity. Their expectations are a joke and have too many "events" happening on a weekly basis to really focus on one marketing or sales project to see what may or may not work. It is also a joke to think this could be a company you can believe in and grow with. When you read the monthly anniversary lists of employees, the majority of anyone celebrating over 1 year of employment works with HQ. It's because a field employee either realizes within a year or two that they need to move on or they're simply fired and its blamed on "underperforming." They have unrealistic and unattainable goals for many of their locations and automatically assume when sales aren't matching the previous year's, it's the Store Manager's fault. It's never a question of product or location or competition of surrounding stores. It's obviously the Store Manager not doing their job so they get put on a cut list. It doesn't matter if your store receives 98% of positive feedback from clients. If you get those one or two reviews with a negative comment, you will get emailed about it. And you will be told, "there seems to be a problem with the service." No, someone just had a bad day and wanted to complain. End of story. Is there anything wrong with your store's physical appearance? Don't bother reporting it, it'll never get fixed. That way you can have points deducted when you have an audit done! My advice is this. Do not work for Bevello. It will be the most stressful time in your retail career and the only pro is receiving a steady paycheck. Unless of course you're fired after only a few months because you didn't turn their low volume store into a "Must Win" location.

Pros

Dress code is fairly flexible as well as the schedule, a bit of creative freedom in store (event ideas, floorset, mannequin dressing, music to play) 30% discount. Great side job for students.

Cons

-As a Sales Lead I make $10/hr & after 1 full year I've been given a $1.50 raise with no actual promotion & I am still without benefits. -Return policy will get you cussed out by angry customers. Exchange only in 14 days, no refunds. -Goals are difficult to make with us being surrounded by stores with the same/similar items we do cheaper -No commission or bonus for sales (no matter how much they spend, you get nothing) I've seen every employee since I was hired quit, one was fired. I was recruited from another store & quit in hopes of this being my chance to prove myself & gain the position & I pay I need & deserve. I'm part-time but I get between 32-40 hrs a week, my average bi-weekly check is around $500. I have not been promoted & I don't think it will happen. I've also seen huge issues between HQ & employees. I don't feel like I am valued, & that my experience & availability are taken for granted. I've tried to keep faith that things will change but that's in vain. If you have real bills & responsibilities this is not the company for you.
