The culture and the team at bittitan was fantastic. best company i had ever worked for. We were growing, everybody was happy and looking to the future.. THEN... We all get a teams post from Geeman saying he has sold the company but everything would stay the same and jobs would be largely unchanged... Yeh we all knew he wanted his money back at some point so no great surprise. The foolish thought maybe this was good news for the future. Thats the last we heard of Geeman!
Cons
What happens next is that the new owners do a "townhall". Geeman didnt even attend. At that point we learn Geeman has left the business.. Couldnt even be bothered to tell us himself. We also learn that there are going to be large scale lay offs and nobody is safe. The company as we know it, destroyed... obliterated if you will We get that he built the company and invested time, money etc in it but what a way to treat the people who helped you get to this success.. People will not remember the last 14 years of your management, they will remember what you did to them in the closing minutes of BitTitan forever.
