Pros

- Brilliant Minds Working Together: Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians Drive Progress - Talent and Teamwork Power Success Across Engineering and Science Teams - Collaboration Among Top Engineers and Scientists Fuels Innovation

Cons

- The leadership structure appears overly top-heavy, with a concentration of authority among a small group of senior leaders. Concerns have also emerged regarding the presence of nepotism, which may undermine merit-based advancement and weaken organizational morale. - Excessive micromanagement within middle management has created a restrictive work environment. This approach limits employee autonomy and has contributed to declining morale among staff. - A number of senior leaders were recruited together from a previous company. This has led to internal questions about whether the same leadership approach that contributed to those outcomes may be repeated. - There is no cost of living compensation. Raises and promotions are highly unlikely

Pros

The engineering talent at the individual contributor level is top-tier. There is a strong camaraderie among the staff. If you are looking for a place where you can work with smart peers who are doing their best despite a lack of direction, you’ll find that here. The technical work is engaging and interesting.

Cons

The organization struggled with a lack of defined goals for the last couple years. The multi-year vacuum has created a culture of "reactive firefighting" rather than proactive building. Management Style: Micromanagement is the default. The project structure is frequently utilized for granular timeline audits and critiquing delays rather than supporting professional growth or removing blockers. Stagnant Compensation: There is a persistent freeze on raises. Outside of a very limited number of promotions, salary growth has stalled for the general workforce for over two years (no raises). This is compounded by a lack of 401k matching and bonuses that do not align with industry standards. Top-Down Governance: The current leadership structure favors a highly centralized, top-down approach that has inadvertently fostered internal political friction. Collaboration between departments has become difficult as teams are increasingly siloed, making it challenging to align on a unified vision for the company's future. Political optics appear to be valued over industry expertise
