Pros

service users great! very rewarding to work with venerable people and make a positive input in their lives.

Cons

Low pay means they will employ almost anyone. Regardless if suitable for the job. Very scary. Low pay means it will probably get worse

Pros

Team: support staff and service users are the only reasons this job is remotely viable. I really like and care about my team and have enjoyed supporting all the service users I have worked with. Flexible working contract.

Cons

No sick pay for first 3 days of illness (for myself as part time, that is a weeks wages), so no support for staff when they are vulnerable and need it, management don't care about anything other than covering shifts, no pay increase or enhancements for the last 7 years (at least), no incentives, no team building, no tangible support and if you dare to speak up or challenge the inadequacies be prepared to be ostrascised and disliked. Poor communication. No career progression or opportunities to enhance or further careers. Low wages for a position with such a lot of responsibility.
