I worked at Brook Street full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

None WHAT SO EVER it's a shocking place.

    Cons

I have been debating whether I should post this or not, I would hate my self if I knew another poor soul got sucked in to this company and thought the company itself was good and cared. - The company comes first, not you, your mental health or wellbeing - If you mention you are having a hard time may this be due to work or home issues you are me with 'is this job for you?' - Management are liars - There is no career progression - The salary is disgusting and when questioning you are met with 'but you are never going to find a recruitment job like this' - Higher management do not care either - Very high turnover of staff - Most consultants end up in the jobs the recruit for like me. (Basically the jobs you recruit for as a temp pay better, care better and are far better than your actual job!) - No other benefits - Heartless, soul-less deceivers - They do not care about mental health - Very pressuring - If they don't like you they will bully you out of leaving, it has happened and is still happening apparently - No real training unless you are going in as a perm consultant - No real incentives unless you are going in a perm consultant, even then they're ridiculous to try and meet

I worked at Brook Street full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Really good training programme. Supportive network if you’re lucky with branch/regional manager

    Cons

Aggressive culture. All about the numbers. People will lie just to hit minimum calls/visit without results. Base salary needs review. Growth isn’t really a focus

    Brook Street Response

July 1, 2020Operations Director, Brook Street

Hi there. I'm pleased to hear that your outlook on the company has improved. We have recently started a 'coaching for managers' program to aid in team growth, as well as personal development and management structure, which is a great platform for discussing such issues. Thank you for your feedback - we aim to put our people first and I am deeply sorry you do not feel valued like you should. I will pass this onto the management team for further assessment alongside our compensation structures.

    Pros

Registering with them was easy. Even when you are working on a temporary contract for another client, they will still keep you posted about other opportunities.

    Cons

My current liaison does not respond to emails, forcing me the waste time during tea breaks telephoning her.

I am sorry to hear that your experience didn't match your expectations. If there are any outstanding payroll issues, I'd advise you contact your local branch as they are your first point of contact. Many thanks for your feedback.

I worked at Brook Street full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I don't think there were any.

    Cons

Terrible pay and conditions for head office workers: no training, no bonus, no parking, no WFH. They even cancelled the Christmas party right before making us all redundant because why waste the money.
