      I worked at CIBC full-time

      Pros

The London office provides a good environment, the people are friendly and helpful. The general work attitude is positive and people can work to achieve their goals

      Cons

The office is a satellite and therefore suffers from the usual problems in such circumstances - being out of the loop in discussions, having to refer decisions to head office, lacking autonomy - often feels like the London office is there just because they need a presence

      Advice to Management

London needs more autonomy, and then more dynamism in creating opportunity and pushing the business to the world in London

          Positive Outlook

I have been working at CIBC full-time

          Pros

Nice offices, OK salary. CEO has a vision + is a real people person.

          Cons

Top jobs reserved for Canadian expats, average salary and package, no adequate reward or recognition for effort put into your role, people seen as disposable assets.

          Advice to Management

Rethink how to reward and recognise your people adequately.

I worked at CIBC full-time for more than 3 years

          Pros

Great people to work with. Culture of sharing information and progression. Caring management and good work-life balance.

          Cons

Network support is ... difficult to obtain. Diversity is embraced, but maybe a tiny bit less than other Big Five banks.

          Advice to Management

Continue to support your teams in personal and business growth by leading by example.
