Pros

the restaurant I worked in was clean with a good staff and compassionate managers.

Cons

Everyone from corporate were overly critical of staff and treated people who worked for them like they didn't matter. They fired beloved managers to make a point and ensured the manager couldn't know before hand by threatening other employees. They also closed an entire restaurant without informing any of the employees before hand, an email was sent out at 10pm that the restaurant was closed and that had been its last night.

Pros

The pay. They pay decent for management, above most restaurants

Cons

Everything else. There is zero work life Balance. The corporate office expects too much and has unrealistic ideas. Once you get to GM, there is no more room for growth. The company is stuck in the 90s, and probably why it isn't profitable. The owner is completely sexist. Pay is good, but there is no 401k, medical is ok

Pros

Very skilled and knowledgeable employees and managers.

Cons

No HR department-just one person who sort of takes on that role (on-boarding, orientation, and the like). The HR person has no power to resolve any conflicts. The owner is all over the place, often asking employees to do tasks WAY outside their job description, and rarely following up. They also see employees as expendable and have an outlook of, "If you don't like it, leave."
