Horrible Company with Horrible Management
Pros
- They are in a new building.
Cons
- Crunch time means 12+ hr days, in office, including weekends until the project is done. - I was in tears from a migraine after one of these 12 hour days and told to come back into the office once I got home. After explaining my situation they said I still need to come back and to book an Uber ride for the 30 minute one-way trip if I need to. I honestly don’t think they were planning on letting me expense it. - Management never has track of projects and blames employees for not knowing about new requirements laid out in meetings they weren’t invited to. - Was expected to deliver a bug-free product that I didn’t even know about 2 weeks before the deadline, and wasn’t given any background, direction, or even reference to previous iterations that they kept mentioning and obviously had?? They purposely told me to not worry about this side of the company, and then got frustrated when I didn’t know anything about it. - The CEO regularly speaks down to everyone at the company. I was told to treat him like a child about to throw a temper tantrum. - They (management) speak behind your back constantly, but tell you up front you’re doing a great job. The company culture is extremely toxic because of it. - Benefits are pretty horrible. No bonuses, no talk of yearly raise evaluations, weak savings and health plans. Engineers that have been working there for years are still not even L2 employees. - My biggest boundary was wanting to work remote during covid spikes, and I was ultimately let go for pushing back when they asked me to come into their anti-mask, anti-vax office during these spikes.
