Good networking opportunities across the asset management industry. It’s a stepping stone to better things
Cons
The work feels soulless and meaningless. No real positive impact or contribution to society. Pay is pretty low for the industry. Toxic line management and no mentorship (not all, but some). Most ambitious analysts leave within two years. The pandemic may have slowed down the turnover a little due to economic uncertainty though.
