Staff come last

Pros

Discount on treatments and products for Champneys and brands. Beautiful rural setting to work in, pretty gardens and good gym facilities if you become a member.

Cons

Long working hours, often rota'd on to work more hours than contracted yet never paid for the extra hours. Always short staffed in all departments, they like to run the business on a shoe-string. Customer service and staff comes last, profit and loss first. Owner known to shout at customers if they complain and ordered to leave. They over-book with guests during special offers so guests end up queuing at the sauna, steam room etc and then put added stress on under-staffed departments.

An utter shambles

Pros

You might meet someone who was famous 30 years ago (and even then, they don't pay for their stay!).

Cons

Family that owns the business is clueless, rude, and out-of-touch. The business is only afloat due to size and rip-off prices that people with too much money don't question. Literally everyone is a "manager" but they couldn't manage their way out of a paper-bag. Some of the most basic people I have ever met, seriously lacking intelligence and yet paid silly money. To enable this over-paid management culture, they hire foreign-staff on minimum-wage in questionable accommodation (caravans hidden from customer view).

Pros

Nice rural setting to work in

Cons

Felt completely trapped, no freedom or trust, had to clock in using finger prints, higher management were rude and toxic to work for, terrible communication
