Pros

Helping children have a better chance at life, while helping families who are deserving.

Cons

Unfortunately, I was placed under a supervisor who was racist and verbally abusive towards me in front of other coworkers. Would yell at me belligerently on the phone and have other coworkers harass me after hours on my personal phone. Saying to me that “our supervisor has been calling me on the work cell phone, yet there’s no missed calls”. Case Managers are stretched too thin. I would work sometimes a 12-14 hr. day and only be paid for 8. There is no overtime.

Pros

Flexible schedule, helping children and families. The great case workers that do stay committed to the children. Being able to take PTO without two week notice.

Cons

Very reactive atmosphere. Children and family do not come first. Money and numbers is the priority. The coworker atmosphere is very low from the get go. It’s a hostile environment. Employees look to throw one another under the bus. Departments across the board feel other departments aren’t doing enough. Case management case loads are extremely to help. Astronomical turnover. Huge recent firings. Skelton administration.
