Pros

Many of the managers are incompetent (but racist), so you can get away with a lot.

Cons

CBN is one of THE most undercover racist environments I have ever worked for in my life. In fact, its not all that undercover. Take a look at the leadership and you will notice that it is almost all white and mostly white males. They give very little opportunities to African Americans and other people of color. And when they do they treat you as if they are doing you a favor. I have seen them give all sorts of promotions and salaries raises to white men, and very little to their black employees. And when they do give them a raise they do not give them as much as they gave their white counterparts, but then act as if they are doing black folks a favor by paying them LESS than their white employees. Another strange con that is a part of the racism of CBN is when they do put in black people in any kind of management position they put in incompetent, unqualified, unknowledgeable black people in these positions who are just puppet managers. In this way the can easily control the team and the manager, say they have a person of color in a leadership position, but then also be able to use that unqualified, unknowledgeable black manager as an excuse why they don't promote black employees to significant positions. So while you MIGHT see black managers sprinkled throughout the company (MIGHT), there is a reason why they are there. To use them as a puppet, and because they're incompetent so they won't bring any diverse ideas to the table. There is only ONE black manager in the ENTIRE IT department. Think about that. Undercover racism abounds in CBN. Do not waste your time trying to work for this plantation. I would give them LESS than one star if I could.
