Pros

CN has really great people working there. The audit department is very flexible in terms of when you work but also demanding in terms of getting the work done. CN has decent health benefits, a very nice office in downtown Bellevue, free coffee and snacks and they organize community service opportunities.

Cons

It's public accounting (although CN has no public clients), so long hours comes with the territory. CN is a medium sized company at best and tends to lose a lot of young people due to career advancement issues. Management is somewhat political and will take advantage of people who don't push back. There is a major performance management issue and the HR team is more of a nuisance than anything.

Pros

Your experience at CN will entirely depend on how well you can get along with the team and managers you're assigned with. I'd go as far to say that knowledge and skill have very little to do with it - you will meet people who are amazing at their jobs and people who are amazing at managing up. I recommend being the latter, it will get you much, much farther.

Cons

Don't be unique. Try to fit in and blend in, it is a very conservative environment.

Pros

They are concerned when you work too much. They don't want you to work more than 60 total hours a week during busy season. (Though it does happen and the busy seasons are longer due to the Not For Profit work). There is a stocked snack room, fridge(s) of drinks, and coffee makers on every floor for the employees. They are very good about paying for and providing CPE opportunities for all levels of staff.

Cons

The health insurance benefit packages are expensive for families. The 401K match and profit sharing are really low as well.
