Pros

- Work life balance is awesome. Management promotes it to a point where it doesn't really matter how much you work or if you can get your work done in a timely fashion, provided you are happy. - Everything is very positive and everyone always does a great job. "Take 3 weeks to do a 2 day task, Great job because it needed to get done". "Mess up requirements and then blame it on the developer because they are not flexible enough, great job, here is a promotion." - Pay raises are easy to get. Say you are quitting and they will offer you a significantly larger salary. - Getting on management's good side is easy. All you need to do is agree with everything thing they say and write praises of the company on sites like Glassdoor.

Cons

- Experience is scoffed at. It is better to have almost no experience and agree with management rather then use learned experience to try to improve the company - There are a lot of tools to gauge employee happiness and engagement, and they make a big point to say they review those suggestions and talk about them. Actioning those suggestions and paying attention to employees in practice is very different than the facade they present. - Pay differentials between like jobs can be as much as 40%. Raises are few and far between. Ensure to negotiate a salary that you will be happy with for at least 2 years. They have the money even though they are very quick to say they don't have money.

We're so grateful you took the time to share this, and - we hear you on some of the limited promotions and tight deadlines. That can be a hard thing in a small company - there aren't as many positions to move into, and things can really change on a dime. It's not all rainbows and unicorns - BUT we love it for the mission we're on to unleash people to do their best work. We've made some big strides in the last few months to bring more attention to learning opportunities and how to grow in that next role, and we hope you're taking advantage of those opportunities! Thank you for being part of the team!
