Pros

You directly impact the lives of people who otherwise have no friends, limited family contact, and no ability to care for themselves. It is honorable work, if frustrating.

Cons

The houses are filthy. The coordinator is racist. The management sees itself as "above you workers," and that is an exact quote I have heard many times. Change does not come without great effort, and only if their is money to be made or saved. They do NOT care about the grunt worker, the house managers bear all the work to be done while supervisors take the credit and none of the blame when things go south. Stay. Away. Their turnover rate is so incredibly high for a reason-- those reasons.
