      Declining culture and toxic management

      Pros

      - Amazing fellow engineers. They are not only very skilled engineers, but also very friendly and supportive. - Flexible working environment and possibility to work remotely.

      Cons

      - Lack of technical and business vision and leadership, no more real CTO (CPO acting as a CTO too). - Engineering department is in constant decline since the previous CTO left. - Senior management leadership treats engineers like a cost. - Culture is rapidly degrading and becoming extremely toxic. - Engineering and product employees are seen as a cost ready to cut down. - Two rounds of redundancies managed terribly. - No financial strategy to make the employees feel safe. Redundancies can happen at any time with a quick email like it already happened twice within a quarter. - The company is in complete chaos with no resolution to that in the near future.

      - Culture within teams is great - Lots of friendly people ready to help - Decent pay and remote working flexibility - Modern interesting tech stack

      Cons

      - Lack of direction for products, teams often building features with no clear demand from users - Trying to build huge scalability, and signing up for enterprise software with no actual users to fund it - Cancelled contracts and two rounds of rushed redundancies in 2022 - Exec team sees employees as expendable with the first lever being pulled when times are tough is redundancies - Compono Hire and Engage doesn't have a clear path forward to profitability, with the certified skills (govt driver licensing) keeping the business afloat

      - One of the best companies I've worked in - Skilled team and supportive culture - Smart and engaged people

      Cons

      - Terrible leadership. An answer is always different depending on who you ask - BAU staff constantly forced to operate in an ambiguous environment - 3 rounds of redundancies in 12 months = a leadership team that is not capable of understanding the economic environment, or what's appropriate for the current company goals - People were hired mere weeks before the most recent redundancy round - Leadership team fixated on protecting their own interests, with people's livelihoods being treated as trading cards - Leadership team chose to fire staff over taking pay cuts - Morale has tanked, and may never recover
