Pros

Some.. very nice people, get to see a lot of the UK, visit some excellent sites and form good customer relations. Interesting work, as long as management dont get involved..

Cons

Management spend too much time in pointless meetings. No great thanks from any management for forming good customer relations. Customers major complaints are office response time, when fed back, totally ignored by management. Very poor job planning for engineers out on the road. A no trust atmosphere created by management, by claiming there to busy to watch tracker, then when it suits, question people about times/journey"s, for no reason other than trying to catch people out. Absolutely boring service meetings, 8 hrs of talking about DPD deliveries, pointless subjects, not enough time spent on tech learning/training. Toxic atmosphere in the office, as staff are afraid to make decisions cause management are always in pointless meetings, then any choice made is called as the wrong choice. No win situation. Some " dead wood " on the staff, who management are aware of, but state, they are happy with quantatity not quality of work out on the road. Over all working for Condair is, " its our way or no way " atitude, forget all the false " we care " and " customer care" cause its none exsistant.

Pros

Originally a privately owned independent business, the former company joined the Condair Group in 2010. Joining the Condair Group brought a number of new and exciting global opportunities, whilst maintaining the feeling and autonomy of working for a smaller, professional local company. The company offer generous benefits, flexible working, great travel opportunities and the project applications are very interesting. The working conditions are good, equipment is up to date, training and development is always encouraged. The staff benefits are good, with long service recognition through the ‘ten year club’, also regular fun staff days out hiking, or sailing and company staff events such as the summer bbq and Xmas party. I can genuinely say that the company care about the staff and this is reflected in the number of long term employees and business success.

Cons

The company have been through a number of changes, which have brought some challenging situations, however in the interests of development the changes have been necessary and are handled as fairly as possible.

Abrasive and abusive work environment

Pros

Good colleagues, good location for commute to work.

Cons

Management lacks the basic understanding of people skills. Extremely erosive interdepartmental politics. Lack of clear interdepartmental processes. Those processes that exist are not followed. The environment breeds the yes-man culture. Management is never wrong.
