Pros

Relaxed environment. Most people in operations are a pleasure to work with. Free coffee whenever you want it. Multiple refrigerators for your lunch needs.

Cons

First off: DO NOT BE FOOLED BY ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ON GLASS DOOR. THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY PLANTED BY MANAGEMENT AND/OR RECRUITING. As a project coordinator you will shoulder the brunt of the work. Team leads and Project managers delegate almost every single task that comes across their desk, so they rarely lift a finger (unless they are telling a PC to do something). Pay is absolutely ludicrous (27,000 a yr), and is not even close to reflecting the amount of work you will be asked to do. All overtime is unpaid, and you will work a lot of it. (I usually work about 60 hours per week). You will be asked to do an "on-call shift" once a week every so often. On call requires you to be at the ready 24/7 all week and weekend. You are "compensated" with a 200 dollar bonus, which is taxed at 20%. There are too many clients and not even close to enough employees. This will cause you to do way more work than anyone can possibly handle. You will be asked to do 5 different time consuming tasks in one day with zero help. Like i said early, PMs and Team Leads basically do nothing. You will do A TON of work and ALL of the recognition will go to your Team Lead or Project Manager (they love to take credit for YOUR work). CEO is basically invisible. I didn't know he had an email address until i had 6 months with the company. He sent out a "Thank you" email to operations (I guess it was supposed to make up for the fact that he hardly pays us). If you are in upper management you will be compensated nicely, but everyone from the neck down may as well be working for free.

CNS does not have a history of treating its employeess well. Very low salaries and extremely difficult to move up. Not family oriented - no balance of life.

Pros

Gain entry level experience as well as important job skills

Cons

Pay, the pay is abhorrent along with the work/life balance, if you're a broke recent college grad interested in IT project management I would look elsewhere at the bigger IT project management companies in the area where most are willing to train you. The hours generally are 830-530 and to work from home takes a miracle as the company likes to have close watch on its employees and rarely trusts them to work from home even tho studies have shown that people are much more productive while working from home. The upper management isn't always politically correct and half the time don't seem to know what they're doing. Most of the pm's are there due to sticking it out while more qualified people get their experience and then leave the company for better pay and benefits. The Team lead/Pm role is somewhat obscure and cloudy as it appears both positions do the exact same thing. The PC's get crapped on with boatloads of work while the TL's and Pm's stand by and watch and wonder why people leave and also implode with the excess work. There is also on call for 1 week straight shifts. Usually you work 830-530 but are responsible for dispatches from 530p-830a m-th then you are responsible to work from 8a-11p Saturday and 8a-830a Sunday to Monday morning for a whopping $200 on top of your normal salary BUT this extra $200 is taxed not as straight pay but as a bonus where it's taxed at about 20% or higher and I avg about $100 extra on those pay checks. The account dept is a complete joke as the better qualified 3rd party contractors and higher paid contractors request more money than contingents "Minutemen" or "speed pay" techs and accounting usually tried to avoid paying them or delaying payment by 6mos to a year (if you don't believe it, look up the reviews online yourself)
