Managers don’t have a clue what day it is

Rigid system. Stubborn upper management. Poor middle managers. Sales bonus is peanuts and always difficult to hit sales target. HR is incompetent and does not protect employees.

They pay you off 35/hr work weeks and that is how your salary is based, however you are expected to work at least 40 or you are looked at negatively

Business over people. Always about money

Limited flexibility for most positions. Limited overtime for office personnel. Limited growth opportunities

Gossip, bad atmosphere, no medical care, no decison on price making. Also the pleasure of informing customers that deliveries will be down by 50%, because it was just a side hustle for the company which didn't build your brand, that is for sure. politics: I think I had the highest commission from sales, but then I tried to have some autonomy and really pressed sales by not wasting time during biz meetings. I pressed on directly with presentations, hijacked 15 min of some meetings to help out customers which were struggling with English. That stepped on too many egos and that was that:) It looks like I was to be a taxi driver, not a Sales Representative, oh well. Switched to IT, got the same salary in 1 year, double in 2, right now I think it is 6x that:) Also had the chance to be a manager of a team bigger than the whole Polish Croda and my autonomy and decision making was highly valued. No time flexibility, not task-oriented (which is a bit odd when it comes to sales).

Stuck in the past, "we've always done it this way" mentality. My manager was too arrogant to consider any ideas but his own. Wants to control every step and every decision, but not be responsible. "lets have another meeting" should be their moto. No wonder things don't get done timely. Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Planning, Reliability Engineering and Human Resources are a revolving door, no one stays more than a year or so. There's a reason! Almost feels like that is how Managers justify their positions and try to keep their jobs, always recruiting and training another replacement.
