Timely pay and low pressure, but HR lacks trust
Pros
Timely salary payments, no strict punch-in/punch-out culture, and a relatively low-pressure work environment for most of the year except during occasional busy periods.
Cons
Confidentiality is major concern. Employees do not feel comfortable sharing workplace issues, career concerns, or manager-related problems with HR team, because sensitive discussions often end up becoming common gossips for the entire office. It creates a lack of trust and discourages people from approaching HR when they genuinely need help. I had several concerns during my time at the company that I wanted to discuss with HR. However, after seeing how some employees' issues were turned into jokes and became office gossip, I lost confidence in the confidentiality and professionalism of the HR function. As a result, I chose not to raise my own concerns and eventually decided to leave the organization. Communication is also unprofessional at times. Concerns are often met with an aggressive or dismissive tone rather than a willingness to listen and resolving the issue. The manager did not consistently maintain professional boundaries or appropriate workplace conduct, and certain comments or behaviour that were not suitable for a professional setting were sometimes normalized at company.
