Pros
Pay and Package, you can be promoted to a high position if you are willing to stay for decades.
Cons
Work / Life balance is extremely poor, research consists of substituting one raw material for another, your ideas over your superior will shot down as underqualified people are promoted through the company. People that are happy to do menial tasks for 5-10 years and then are put in senior positions and told to manage higher qualified personnel and also told to come up with new ideas, go figure. Security is overkill, two swipe systems and a timetable to fill in each week. Every action is under scrutiny, inside and outside of work and will be brought up. Too many managers and loads of rules, this is not a place where you can be yourself.
