Pros

Good technology. Close work colleagues are excellent. Technical staff are really knowledgable.

Cons

Making numerous people redundant. No replacement of staff when people leave so more work gets put onto current employees. Upper management aren’t trustworthy. Very disorganised in the company structure. Happy to drop you with immediate effect with little reason.

Pros

- Technical teams highly qualified, great people to work with that value and take care of each other at the lower levels - Good benefits package and competitive salaries - Products greatly contributing to health and life sciences research

Cons

- Some management team members regularly irate and hostile, which makes many meetings a waste of time. - Often feels like a dictatorship; sense of team regularly demoralized. - People with non-Ivy league degrees are looked down upon. - Limited advancement capabilities. People that have been with the company at or near its beginning kept in the same roles and denied growth and advancement opportunities they were interested in. - Limited career development training and mentoring, hence not ideal for new college grads. - Started out small, cross-functional, and collaborative; changed to having invisible walls and functions are siloed. People at lower levels fear punishment from certain managers if try to be collaborative cross-functionally so these behaviors are ceasing to exist and communications worsen. - Lack of planning and coordination throughout company stemming from the top. - Employees not valued by upper levels and treated merely as numbers on a balance sheet. - No socially or environmentally responsible practices or policies in place.
