Great manager and pay, but sales metrics are frustrating.
Pros
- Manager is AMAZING. - Staff is super friendly and are a great team. - Pay is very good per hour, especially with good performance. About 23 euros even with average performance. - Relaxed work culture, flexible hours, easy to request time off.
Cons
- Some of the sales options are downright absurd. They advertise "0% deposit", but deduct your sales performance if they don't put in 10%. - The company seems to care more about options than actual sales volume. You could felt punished for getting a sale because they for example didn't get Sofacare, even if pushing for it would have lost the sale. Or if you got a sale of one chair worth less than 500 euros, it could ruin all your metrics for the entire month, meaning you got "poor performance. - You don't get your commission till the sofa is delivered, so you can lose your commission due to errors in the supply system, despite you doing nothing wrong. - The shop is simply not busy enough. Days can drag, especially late weekday afternoons, and with it only being 20 hours, can leave you with too much free time. - Commission is notably lower than some other stores, especially compared to Dublin. - No way to gain commission if the customer decides to buy it online after spending time with the customer. - DFS overworks the manager.
