Pros

Working with Family Dollar okay.

Cons

Late to pay, did not receive first check until 4 days after supposed pay day. No one knows what is going on in different branches. Mike seems nice, other guy micromanages from California.

We appreciate the honesty in this response and would like to respond in kind. Direct deposit takes one payroll period to begin, previously resulting in a potential delay for off-site employees. Going forward, all live checks are sent via overnight delivery to off-site employees to ensure receipt on the established payday. As a start-up organization, our processes are always being refined, which might not be a good fit for those who prefer very defined processes. While DSD Partners, Inc., is a family business, we strive to ensure equal opportunity for all employees. We continue to work to improve our communication with off-site employees, and are excited for our future endeavors to come.

Pros

Small company so you know who everyone is that you work with.

Cons

The company has a terrible work environment. I’ve witnessed discrimination, racism, ageism, favoritism, workplace bullying, retaliation and so much more. Rules only apply to certain people. We have witnessed racial slurs/jokes slide by without being addressed. HR is terrible. They do not address the concerns of their employees if they don’t see the benefit or if they do not agree with you. I told HR I felt that I was being attacked and absolutely nothing was done about it. All managers have offices except for those of color. There are absolutely no people of color in upper management. Customer Service is unappreciated and underpaid. You are given no support or guidance for anything. Departments have no idea what the other departments have to do so it is complete chaos. There is no communication. There is no room for advancement at all.

We are disappointed to hear about your experience but appreciate all feedback on the company. While we cannot address any specifics regarding previous employees, all allegations and complaints from employees are taken very seriously. Each is investigated thoroughly and addressed in a timely manner. We strive to create an environment where all employees are treated fairly and given equal opportunities for growth and success.
