Pros

Fun company at the start to work for and very rewarding initially. Lots of fantastic benefits and fantastic people.

Cons

Inexperienced people being moved into management roles. People overworked constantly.

Pros

Some good people that really care about what they do Enjoyable place to work Provides a good platform to express opinions and have an effect on the future of the business if you push hard enough Small enough to have plenty of face to face interaction with teams and people Having an innovation week for the technology firm is great Ability to have a degree of creative freedom if you avoid involving certain known individuals that continually act as blockers to change Nice social scene and friendly working environment with some nice people CEO will buy you a beer and know everyones name which is very rare and a nice touch

Cons

Really need to cut out the "good thomsons person" and "pink" brain washing, at times it seems like a cult initiative and it felt a bit uncomfortable seeing some individuals brain washed that didn't know any better. Silly internal politics between teams that want all the power Some people have only worked one company their whole life so are institutionalised and don't get the bigger picture Need to look at the technology industry and see what others are doing to evolve Not bleeding edge from a technology stand point No long term aligned technology plan from senior management to make the company better from a technology delivery perspective Management are happy doing daily fire fighting as a day job rather than leading teams to delivery excellence A lot of people are sitting tight hoping for a company sale as they have "shares" and not interested in changing to adopt industry standard best practices or improve which is poor

Pros

Some great client brands to work on Great people in the delivery and support teams - a good social life Some great parties

Cons

New senior leadership team who are competent but dull means the spark that made Thomsons what is was is diminishing as the company becomes arguably more professional but is losing its personality and atmosphere by the day. Severe skills shortage with people badly overworked and a management team who don't seem to really understand the business or the people (or really seem to care) - sending empty emails with lots of pink font is just really annoying rather than motivational - This has created a them and us feeling among many.
