Average pay coupled with pretty bad benefits
If you're a technician, 75% of your job is retail sales.
Some of the worst micromanagement I've ever experienced. (Monitored phone calls on the daily, group meetings for hours after your shift to listen to passive aggressive threats of unemployment if you don't make sales.)
Shady business practices to pressure customers into buying things they don't need.(Reprimanded if you're up front and honest with any of your customers about pricing)
There is literally zero advancement opportunities.
Almost no transparency and unapproachable upper management. (HR, Regional Managers, Owners, etc)
20 year old point of sale and inventory systems
Some customers are unreasonable/dont understand whats involved in the work. You WILL be blamed by management if they complain regardless of circumstance.
Be prepared for the "We're a family" talk when they want you to do more for nothing.
