I have been working at Datasite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great team culture and supportive management team. Organisation has recently bolstered it's Product Marketing team to give great insights and tools to sell more effectively. Plenty of opportunities to learn and improve as a Sales professional with weekly training sessions hosted by SMEs in the organisation. Fantastic team culture with plenty of opportunities to socialise e.g. Monthly drinks and charity events as a team. Great financial position, no-one in the Sales Organisation lost their job during the C-19 pandemic despite the state of the global economy! Plenty of opportunities to earn extra money with 2/3 Sales Spiff opportunities per year (extra on top of base salary and standard commission which is uncapped).

    Cons

Management can be a too lenient and afford too much time to non-performing sales people.

I have been working at Datasite full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working at Datasite for almost a year now and I must say its a great company to work for, the people are amazing there is a great support from new management that I have never encountered before. Great exposure to wider company internationally and possibility to move abroad. Its a lifestyle more than just a job but working hard also pays well. When you join they spend a lot of time and resources giving you all you need to learn about the market, industry, competition, does and donts of the job and that is much appreciated. Management is there for you 24/7 should you need help with anything and overall everyone is super helpful!

    Cons

Not much to say for the cons, work-life balance is never the easiest but the industry is tough

I have been working at Datasite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

nice product and direction for M&A lifecycle

    Cons

    - the leadership team has changed for the worst recently and it is clear that the only goal of the leaders is to sell and cash in their shares. the CEO is about as distant as anyone can be and has zero care for the people. there is a horrible culture of slamming people and firing them.

I have been working at Datasite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

*15K+ to spend with clients a year (dinners, lunches, drinks, events) However, given Covid 19 I do not know when could we do this again *Build a great network in a short time (Capital Market pros) *High energy and volume industry, good for highly energetic people *Great Customer Support and a well-known brand, which translates to less work for the salesperson *Best product in the industry and a really good bunch of people in most departments *If you are passionate about Capital Markets this could be a great introductory job

    Cons

*Company and culture has changed for worse *Executives are focused on the short term right now (especially in EMEA) this cascades to all levels within the organisation (product, support, billing, sales, HR) *Due to Covid 19, there is no fun anymore as you have to work from home! Thus, for the next few months, we expect to have no exposure to clients *The focus now is on calls, emails and online demos (you have to log in everything manually as the systems are crap)... super micromanaging as I have never seen in my 12 years of experience *Compensation plans have changed dramatically "my way or the highway" .. forget about negotiating it (Every other VDR pays substantially more) *Best employees are leaving as they are disgusted with management, the new strategy is to get low paid junior employees (Thus the culture changed dramatically) *It is the most expensive VDR in the market, that was OK 18 years ago but now there are new players that do it better at a fraction of the price Overall, this industry will change dramatically in the next 3 years, IntraLinks and Datasite are trying to create new products with no market fit and are struggling to maintain their market share/price levels... thus, you better have a plan for 2022

I worked at Datasite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I think the office culture overall isn't too bad. The majority of the staff are friendly and open to help. A really nice and modern office with fruit *once a week. Good for a first short-term job.

    Cons

Pay attention to staff. Fix the platform because everyone that works there knows that the entire platform does not work smoothly. Training is always appreciated however if the person who is training isn't very good or engaging it makes them meetings a waste of time as you have to learn it all over again in your own time. Apart from the social events drinking side of things, hardly anyone enjoyed them. The services team was treated like they didn't matter and this was shown by looking at how sales were treated in comparison. Sales are not in contact with the clients as much as the service team so it would make sense to appreciate them a bit more and not offer the left over snacks from sales. If you want to move up, make sure you tell management every little detail of everything you have done. Don't do anything just because, do it to be seen.

I have been working at Datasite full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I’ve been with some corporations and I’ve had some great experiences. None compare to Datasite. The levels of bravery and commitment to a single minded purpose are amazing. People are genuinely collaborative and emotional intelligence is through the roof. This is a place where you can actually make a difference.

    Cons

Sometimes there can be a few language/global issues. These are usually overcome by talking. Great that it happens without injury and usually concludes happily.
