Pros

Caring for the Clients then getting in the car.

Cons

Realising that the CEO and Management care more for money and petty politics. A foul back stabbing culture encouraged by a petty minded CEO with to much time on his hands. Anyone with an ounce of individuality and the ability to think for themselves will be singled out by House Managers and marked as a problem employee.

Pros

None whatsoever as far as I'm concerned.

Cons

Institutional care model. Culture of bullying and discrimination. Inadequate training given and very poor guidance from experienced staff, some who seemed more interested in me as a transgender person than training me how to do the job. Felt the rules applied strictly to me, but not to experienced staff. Lots of corner cutting going on, putting service users at risk. Heavy dependence of overtime working. A number of concerns reported directly to CQC and investigated and taken seriously, as management would not listen to my concerns. Covid protocols not taken seriously. Had to appeal to get an apology over a deeply offensive safeguarding concern reported against me, amongst others that were malicious and offensive, I accept I made *honest* mistakes *as a new starter* who was often left working alone against CQC guidelines, as I had not completed my care certificate and could not get adequate support to complete it due to lack of time given by team leaders to sign off exercises.

Pros

Students in school and college are amazing and so are most of the staff. Lovely place to be .most of the staff are lovely.

Cons

They use the safeguarding report system for everything. I agree when it's involving serious things or if it involves a student or service user. Staff are encouraged to report everything even menial things that dont involve the student like going to the toilet too many times in the day or that you nip to the cafe one day as you had no student amd were on admin instead of someone speaking to you about it quietly. . If someone dislikes you they will report you constantly meaning your pulled in to the manager who will then belittle you. So many people have left the centre for new jobs due to 1 manager . This creates a toxic place to work . If your face doesn't fit you will not be treated well. If you report bullying to management they will blame you for it . Advice would be if you go there to work; keep yourself to yourself and remember not everyone who smiles at you is your friend. I have worked in education for over 20 years and I've never known anywhere to be so toxic with people desperate to report others.
