Pros

The IT department is outstanding. The equipment the company gives you is the best in the business. Also, they'll pay you and give you plenty of time to look for another job, because believe me, once you look behind the curtain, you'll be looking for employment elsewhere. Management is so clueless, you can send out resumes and interview at other companies and they won't bother you. Last, the conga line to the exit door is fun to watch if you're into the schadenfreude. During my very brief tenure here, I've seen so many people come and go, HR must be working overtime to fill the spots. (Then again, HR folks are leaving too!)

Cons

An absolute disaster of a cluster of a train wreck. If I can prevent one person from making the terrible mistake of coming here, I would have done that person a world of good. If you're an advertising professional who cares about your work, do not come to this place. I have no idea who is giving the positive reviews on this site -- I would imagine HR shills, or kids fresh out of college who have little to no experience at a real agency, or maybe a person who couldn't cut it elsewhere and landed here where mediocrity is the norm. They'll lie to bring you in, but once you land, and if you can somehow survive their laughable onboarding process, you'll discover soon enough that this is truly a terrible place. The work is dreadful and the management is a toxic mix of ignorance and arrogance. (Hey, they have their fancy titles - why should they care?) Back in December we lost one of our biggest clients and a lot of folks left. I can see why! The work at all levels is poor to fair at best.

Thank you for your comments. We will review and consider where we can continue to make improvements. After years of unprecedented growth, we, unfortunately, did unexpectedly lose a key client last year for non-performance reasons. It did have an impact on our teams at DiD. However, after the initially difficult and challenging effects we are proud to say we are making up much of that loss and remain excited about our future. Along with our own growth and merger with Lucid, we did experience some growing pains. But today we are quite excited about our L&D tools, training and development programs and culture and values resources we are just now deploying. We know there is more to do but feel we have made great strides in the last several months. As we continuously look to refine our internal programs for our colleagues we will apply your lens to DiD to see how else can make things better for today's and future colleagues at DiD and Lucid overall.

They've lost their mojo

Pros

Nice digs, fellow employees are mostly nice and mostly talented. Senior Management tries to make it nice by throwing parties, etc., but as other reviewers have stated, they are mercurial and mistakes are never forgiven.

Cons

Work life balance gets a lot talk as most people are out the door by 6pm, but most people are also logged back in and working late from home. As someone else stated, the Management team is perfect for an an agency a third their size. They simply don't have the chops for a medium size agency. Having evolved from a video production background, the agency places too much emphasis on "fast and cheap", and little on "good" -- much less great. Not a great place for Account Services -- no support, and even less training/mentoring. Just as bad for Creative -- which seems to get the blame for every snafu -- large and small.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. While we’re disappointed that your experience here isn’t/wasn’t in line with our goal of being a great place to work, we always value transparency and open communication and appreciate your candor. The past two years have been both an exciting and challenging period of growth. We’ve been lucky to add so many talented folks to our team but have felt some growing pains along the way. Fortunately, it’s in our DNA to look for opportunities to improve and build on our strong culture. Currently, we’re rolling out robust training and mentoring programs at all levels—including the Senior Management team. Also, we’ll continue our open door policy and encourage feedback about what our employees need. Last month during our Town Hall we launched “Ask Me Anything,” an open session with the Partners; the feedback was positive and as a result, we’re hosting the meeting on a regular basis. As we move into this exciting new phase of DiD’s history, we feel confident that we’re headed in the right direction and are set up to thrive. Thanks again for your feedback; our door is always open if you’d like to continue the conversation.

Pros

work life balance was incredible, clients (for the most part) were easy to work with, and many of the team members were great

Cons

Culture felt stuffy Mistakes were seen as 7 deadly sins. Make a mistake, you wont hear about it until your review. But then you will hear about it loud and clear. Not a ton of room to grow upwards unless you are in it for the long haul
