Great people, but too much nepotism in senior management

Pros

There are some great people, with great ideas and motivation, unfortunately they are treated as a commodity by senior management (HR policies are not always followed if they are inconvenient).

Cons

There is a culture of nepotism within senior managment to the detriment of seasoned staff who are treated appaulingly especially at the moment when the company is being made ready for sale and making the profit look good is the only objective of the managment team. They are throwing loyal and committed staff under a truck to achieve their goals and secure their own bonuses when the company is sold. The company lacks agility and has lost out on huge business growth potential due to it's policies, processes and lack of action in making change. The pay is poor and well below market rates.

Pros

Great products and the job can be meaningful especially if you enjoy learning about hygiene and infection prevention.

Cons

-underpaid sales team. No bonus structure with the SIS scheme failing to launch by senior management. - Diversey had a great company culture but since the zenith merge they have allowed zenith to run the show and implement their way of micro managing and having no freedom or trust for the employees to complete their job the way they work best. Instead everyone is being told exactly how to plan and to complete each visit. It’s a shame because people will just leave especially when given no incentives and the salary’s barely make minimum pay. The company will lose quality workers and left with machines designed by zenith to run the show. -nepotism at it’s finest. -zero diversity in management mostly close minded men that don’t have the intelligence on how to create a great culture and motivate staff. Instead constant threats to put employees on performance reviews. -Sales force should be used to help employees to do their job not to track them and catch them out. Once again Zenith managers are behind this.

How not to make changes

Pros

A lot of good people in the UK who have been with the business a number of years. Friendly culture. People who will help and support to get the job done. You are a name not a number.

Cons

US corporate management have no idea on how to implement change. The way the expense policy has been recently changed takes no account of local UK legislation and process. The US way does not work globally. A hard stop doesn't work. Gone has the internet allowance. Gone has the car wash. Gone has the private car mileage except for people who have a company car and fuel card. A taxi is the option for everyone else. How does that save money eh? All without any real consultation with employees. No clue on how to engage employees or how to makes changes fairly. It's just imposed by the US.
