Pros

I have been given an assignment that really suits my skills and with a great customer and so far everything's been good. I've had a lot of support from my mentor who is really friendly and we have already started to look at future professional certification and what training I might need. There are other trainees in the same area so its helped me to settle in quickly as everyone is so supportive.

Cons

none that I have seen yet

Pros

Allows inexperienced candidates opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise recieve.

Cons

Doesn’t allow these employees any of the rewards associated with such fantastic opportunities. I.E charging companies hundreds of pounds a day for work and passing a capped tiny fragment onto employees, then not allowing them to work for the wonderful companies they’ve been working for.

We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience. It is not what we aim for when giving our next generation employees opportunities. After receiving this review we actively sought feedback and have taken the time to speak with some of our customers and employees. Our employees are remunerated in line with the market and our commercial rates to customers are below the market average to enable us to gain opportunities for our new entrants. We also invest heavily in mentoring and training. Our employees and customers are always our top priority and we encourage you to talk to us so we can help and support you.

Pros

You can get a placement at a good company but not a pro as you may as well apply for that company direct as you will get better benefits and Doris won't take 60% of your salary.

Cons

Doris promote that they can support you with training, and guide you whilst you find your way in the IT industry. They say they can offer you flexibility with roles, with a range of companies but I have found this to be untrue. The training is just some online videos most the time not even relevant to your job as there is a lack of knowledge throughout the training team at Doris. I have been told to lie in interviews to customers in order to get the role. This made me very uncomfortable and anxious with it being my first experience of an office workplace. As with flexibility of roles I know of other Dorisers who have asked to change roles as they have figured out another role they'd rather be in, told Doris months in advance so Doris had time to replace them in their role and find them a new one. Only for Doris to extend their contract in their current role without their knowledge.

Thank you for your feedback. Our aim is to place new entrants into our industry in positions they would not be able to obtain themselves and then support them, our employees, to deliver and as a result more than 120 people have completed industry recognised professional qualifications. We are sorry that your training did not meet your learning style but we wish you all the best for the future.
