Pros

I guess it’s Diane herself. Because of the circles she moves in there have been some pretty good events.

Cons

It’s all been said in the other reviews! The current CEO is not fit for the role and is very quickly destroying the organisation. The company has gone through many change cycles (much more than usual) over the past few years. The new CEO really needed to come in and solidify the organisation while re-engaging and re-energising a tired but loyal team. It had indeed been run like a hobby rather than a business. It’s still not being run like a business. Now it’s more like playground full of cliques and bullies. I’d guess that 45-55 people have left in the last 8 months or so, that includes people with long tenure or people who have joined and left within weeks. It absolutely shows in the companies output and results. Most of those people are very talented and have left out of sheer exasperation of being in a place with no trust, no team work and absolutely no direction whatsoever. The CEO gives inexperienced staff very big projects simply because those people will allow themselves to be completely controlled. It is as bad for the individual who is basically set up to fail as it is for the organisation that produces inferior quality work. She constantly talks behind people’s backs and stirs the pot like a teenager at school. When giving negative feed back she invokes other people’s names to avoid being direct. The culture is now toxic. The design team has been obliterated by resignations and 1 completely inexperienced person has been put in place. So the consumer is paying for ‘designer’ product with no actual design POV. Basically it’s just recuts and re-used prints. How inspiring. I really hope that the board members clock on soon and take all the feedback they are getting seriously. I used to LOVE this brand and working for them - I thought I would stay forever! but I left running, not walking and with the beginning of a bitter taste in my mouth. I am actively helping connect my colleagues that I left behind with opportunities for new roles.

A rollercoaster of a company

Pros

If you want to learn about all different areas of the fashion business (albeit in a small way) you will likely do so here, because you need to get involved with lots of things outside of your job role. Relatively decent compensation package. Luxury perception, so can be a great stepping stone!

Cons

Extremely frustrating lack of clarity on the goals and strategy, so different teams are always working at odds with one and other - No pull in one direction. So many things get started, but not a lot gets executed. There is something quite disingenuous about the ‘story’ of the brand and the founder, it’s a edited version of the truth I guess - which makes for a better story!

Pros

Some team workers are lovely and down to earth, There was sense of sticking together in order to maintain the brand. Some are friends for life. CEO of the company is helpful, however the same can not be said about the Founder.

Cons

No trainings, hidden cultures amongst senior management (does not apply to Managing Director, London). Long working hours, very low salary, not training at all. Company isn't sustainable and use lots of plastic. Company's Founder unfortunately is only active to keep her public image but do not care about her employees. Also, It is very disappointing especially when you used to treat her as hero and thought of her as an example.
