Pros

Pros Onsite Cafe and Barista are awesome. The micro team environment is brilliant...but

Cons

Cons Executive level management and CEO have little clue on how some teams operate. Recent involvement with K1 should have set alarm bells ringing: you can't import US based malicious and siloed hierarchical work culture into an Australian environment. The employees deserve more respect than that. The recent restructure was made with very little thought on impact on employees, workload and clients. . Some of the employees that were "restructured" out were done so without any address on flowing impacts....and now the executive level are scrambling to fix the holes they created... The morale and team cohesiveness has plummeted. Employees work in fear and wondering when they will get a call from a very callous HR department. ELMO proclaims they look after their employees but they dont. The CEO reneged on his own principles and shifted everyone to a 4 days in office 1 day at home work scenario, when the previous 3 days office and 2 days home was working quite well.

Pros

- There are some really nice people who work there - Good office - Good regarding diversity

Cons

- All the good developers leave once they realise they're hitting their heads against a brick wall. If you're a plodder, then you'll probably go okay at ELMO, but if you're a high achiever, you'll be eternally frustrated. - Management is non existent. They are unwilling to attempt any meaningful conflict resolution, or help with career progression. I was largely ignored the whole time I was there which was weird and lame. I only got 1 on 1's if I explicitly asked for them, they were never offered. - Leadership is also non existent - they are in desperate need of someone who can strategically coordinate the upgrade of old fragile systems, and integrate new acquisitions - Too many long wasteful meetings - You rarely walk out of the door at the end of the week with the feeling like you really achieved something

Pros

People are good and work environment is nice

Cons

Toxic work culture as you will become lazy and forget all your skills once you work here. Management is cluless about the direction of products being built, no processes no standards followed.. feels like you are left in a dirt with no way out . Middle management is mostly clueless trying to do implement some weird policies' and work conditions.
