There seems to be a bit of sexism in my branch. No one from our other offices would ever know it when they visit, but having worked for EMJ for over a year, I witness it everyday and it's difficult (and awkward) to voice your opinion, or to be promoted to a position that you've a) expressed an interest in; and b) are more qualified for than someone hired outside of the company.
While management says there is always an open door policy, their doors seem to be closed a lot, or they're never available. It can create an awkward moment weeks or months after something has occurred.
