Pros

Working at Edelbrock was an honor at the beginning due to the iconic reputation that the company has in the industry. Everyone who works there (that has been there for a long time) are very proud of what they have previously built. The employees are great.

Cons

After being purchased by private equity, the company values and ethics have completely gone south from Vic's previous award winning standards. The current CEO lacks vision, consistency, and the ability to motivate the work force to drive towards a common goal. This is extremely unfortunate for all the amazing people who have dedicated their entire careers to building the foundation that is known as Edelbrock. The current executive team has been dummied down in comparison to prior executive teams. In the current state of Edelbrock, the one and only obligation is money.

Pros

They hire anyone with a pulse which means anyone can get a start with the company. Very forgiving of errors and mistakes. Pay can be a bit above average if you are well liked. In general, friendly coworkers.

Cons

All of the following comments are in regards to quality department: They hire anyone with a pulse (yes, I indicated that as a "pro" as well). A high degree of micromanaging from department head. Antiquated, if not, obsolete quality assurance system and methods. Deeply entrenched culture that is resistant to change. A lot of favoritism. Too many "Not so friendly coworkers" that results in a reluctance by coworkers to ask questions. Very little support from immediate managers. A lot of corner cutting in the name meeting production schedules. Production management controls quality, not the actual quality manager. The people in charge aren't respected and as a result, the department isn't respected. Very, very, poor communication between shifts.

Pros

Solid day to day and MFG Employees with genuine enthusiast attitudes. Great MFG capability, AMAZING history and nostalgia.

Cons

Attrocious leadership from the top down. No direction. No Edelbrock family or real enthusiasts at the helm. Investment company involvement is a disaster. HR leadership is a nightmare. Decisions are reactionary instead of strategically planned. No 2-5-10 year plan. Morale at rock bottom levels.
