Pros

Working at Edelman DXI makes you quite employable. Comments I went on to receive from recruiters/hiring managers include: - "wow, you are very affordable." (upon learning my last drawn salary from DXI) - "your resume says you have under 2 years of experience, but it feels like you have 5." (If you calculate it by hours worked, I probably did in fact amass 5 years of working experience in two years.) - "I understand. I used to work at Edelman too." (Me and the hiring manager exchange a long, grim look.) Also, you will learn to recognise the stages of burnout, which is useful I guess.

Cons

Long hours and obscenely low pay. After my promotion, I calculated my wage divided by hours worked on average per month and realised that I could work as a cashier at McDonald's and draw a comparable hourly wage. In general, difficult to live a life with dignity at DXI, as you spend most of your waking hours contemplating why you're good at your job but also dirt poor.

Pros

Smart colleagues and lots of opportunities to work on interesting projects. Resources for growth and learning if you take the initiative. Flexible work environment and good benefits.

Cons

Internal politics can significantly influence career progression. Promotions often depend on how well you navigate relationships and collaborate across the network, rather than purely on performance or results. Can feel frustrating when personal connections overshadow merit.
