Its a good industry to work in (telecoms), and is growing faster than most in IT.

Cons

- Low pay compared to rivals - Open abuse of staff (managers will often yell at people in front of the office, I can't believe this still happens) - dull, repetitive work unless you are in with the right people

They try and foster a culture of fear of senior management, making it a hostile and unpleasant atmosphere. Expectation of work is ever increasing, so no matter how much you do, they expect more.
