Pros

Made some good friends, pays better than benefits.

Cons

Unrealistic stats Terrible management, had managers screaming at you during a call telling you to get off the phone if it was a long call. Pushing sales until the point they had someone literally sitting beside you checking if you were pitching to customers who were ringing up because they cant pay their original bill anyway. If you went over your break by seconds you get disiplined, if you take longer than 10mins on bathroom breaks you get disiplined. Managers favourites get promoted, not hard workers. If you ring the absence line when you are genuinely sick you get a call back from your manager giving you grief and telling you to come into work. Managers are so condesending and degrading, cannot believe the way agents were spoke to. Terrible shifts, you have to be available from 8:00am-10:00pm 7days a week. Not anyones permanent job, no prospects. Had to sign a form at the start off training advising you that if you left within 6months you will be fined £150. Management tell you to hand in your notice imstead off giving you the sack so they can fine you.

Pros

Make good friends. Good Craic. Sometimes you can win TVs and alcohol Sometimes free pizza It's quite local so the commute is short

Cons

The cons overly outweigh the pros! The owners of eishtec are just criminals! The way it works is EE will pay Eishtec based on our performance e.g. How many broadbands we've sold or how many tablets. So there is always a massive drive to sell these products or more like let's "bundle" an additional line onto a customers bill and hope they don't notice ! As by doing it "the eishtec way" we are quite good at conning customers into another £8 onto their bill. Now the best part is EE will pay Eishtec our bonuses, but Eishtec have now introduced silly metrics that each agent has to meet to even get a sniff of a bonus. An example of this is conversion, we HAVE to make an upgrade happen on 1 out of every 4 calls. Or we don't get bonus. So as a result each agent is still generating EE roughly £140k a month, so EE pay Eishtec out of that but Eishtec don't have to pay the bonus the agent has worked for. So essentially you are a slave, a pawn to a criminal. The sickening bit is you can see how much you are making EE / Eishtec and because you maybe got 18% conversion instead of 20% you are missing out on £800 plus bonus that goes straight into Brian, Heather and Colm's pocket! I believe an investigation needs to happen into "The Eishtec way" of how they are running this shambles of a business.
