      Great staff....terrible central admin

      Pros

      Staff are great people to work with. Enjoyed my time on the campuses.

      Cons

      Some key administrative leaders from the central office are terrible micro-managers. To them, the "optics of how the district appears to the public" is more important that actually fixing issues with student discipline and academics. They would rather sweep stuff under the rug, rather than fix the problem head-on. If some of these key administrators would retire, and some fresh ideas would come in, I think the district would be a wonderful place to work like it once was.

      Great group of supportive teachers at the High School.

      Cons

      This is not a good school district and it lacks leadership. There is almost no support for teachers in the classroom especially brand new teachers. Decisions are not made with the students' best interests or their future in mind and there are many disciplinary issues. Teacher turnover is VERY high because leadership are not interested in listening to the faculty and addressing concerns. When the high school loses close to 50% of its staff in a year, then there are obviously serious issues. Standards are very low in all areas, both academic and in general expectations.
