Pros

Autonomy. Collateral. Intellectual property. Branded material.

Cons

Leadership arrogance is overwhelming; endless hours without direction; try cookie-cutter approach for every situation. Cult of personality management. Culture of misdirection. Looking to be acquired, so keeping up appearance over substance.

Good feedback for us - would have been more effective if it was shared when this employee was with us so we could have addressed some of the concerns head-on. I suppose the advice part has two sides - completely agree with recognizing we are not as big and structured as some of our competitors but there's also the side where we compete against McK, Bain, BCG, and others regularly, so perhaps this feedback is quite useful in that our differentiation is in our size to skill ratio. Thank you for sharing all this with us.

Pros

Some great people. Have worked with some great clients.

Cons

Lack of leadership. Not enough focus on people. Still operating as an early stage start-up.

A miserable place to work

Pros

Some good people work at Emergn.

Cons

This once excellent organization has lost its way, and the culture has turned toxic. There is a disconnect between leadership and the rest of the business, and communications are poor. Despite presenting itself as people first, it fails to invest in or care for its people. The sheer turnover of staff speaks volumes in itself. It's a miserable place to work.
