- Great organization for being a full remote company.
- The culture at EMI is great, people are super kind and fun to work with, but also extremely professional.
- Coworkers are always willing to help.
- Working at EMI is like working in a big family where everybody pushes to achieve the same goals.
Cons
- Being a remote job, you can not meet often the people you work with. But this honestly is not a disadvantage since people still communicate very effectively.
I made the jump from a large US based company to Emi and I could not be happier with my decision to do so. Emi has been a tremendous place to work at so far (90 days in) and there have been no surprises/misaligned expectations. The leadership team is very clear in the company's overall goals and strategy, and each team does a great job transparently sharing how they will help us achieve these goals. The company culture is A+. Being one of the few US employees and non-Spanish speakers, I was worried that it would be a heavy adjustment to working acorss countries, cultures and native-languages. That said, the team has done an amazing job of making sure I've felt welcomed and included, and we are 100% an English-first company. Emi is solving a massive problem and giving a voice to a group of laborers that have to date been forgotten. Our mission is at the core of everything we do, and employees are really bought in to doing good through Emi.
Cons
Being fully remote while having an office in Mexico and Argentina can be isolating at times when you see large teams dialing into calls. That said, the People team is consistently working on fostering a collaborative environment for all employees no matter where they are located
- company with strong cultural values and mission-oriented. Each one of us cares about the social impact we generate!
- people-centric: we care about each team member
- remote job, we work towards goals!
- it is constantly promoted a two-way constructive and transparent feedback with once leader and team
- possibility to propose new ideas and be heard
- I have been here for almost 10 months and I can tell that I feel challenged in a good way, every day. Plus, I grew professionally and hope to keep on doing it
Cons
I guess that a more solid newcomer remote package would be good incorporation, but there are no serious cons nor a problem I should state that worries me. So far, I love working here!!
