Pros

1P truly walks the walk when it comes to their initiatives. Benefits are great, with a recent change to a better provider that offers even more. Things like Maven that provide fertility and pregnancy coverage and assistance, and all of this has been done with a genuine concern for their employees and ensuring our benefits and programs support them. DEIB initiatives really are recognized and are celebrated and acknowledged throughout the company. (The company gives days off for Americans for Juneteenth and in Canada for Day for Truth and Reconciliation, as well as one for UK too.) The company is on a great growth trajectory despite current economic conditions and senior leadership is transparent about the ways the company is working to stay nimble and stable in these market conditions. Very happy to be here and hope to see 1Password continue to succeed in the coming years.

Cons

1Password grew very quickly over the past few years and working to break down siloes that formed and bringing the right people together for certain projects can be tough. I've seen progress in this area in the past year so I'm optimistic more progress can be made.

Pros

- Awesome founders when they were involved in the day-to-day - Great benefits

Cons

- Lost a lot of what made this place special during the scale up from 100-1000 employees - Hired a ton of outside leadership which ultimately resulted in a culture shift and many of the people who worked there the longest leaving

Pros

* Flexible working arrangements and quite a bit of autonomy. * A genuinely supportive manager and a collaborative, positive team environment. * Competitive pay for the role and responsibilities.

Cons

In recent years the company has shifted in a direction that feels very different from the organisation I originally joined. * There is a strong emphasis on a “high performance culture”, but there is limited structure or support in place to help employees develop the skills needed to meet those expectations. * Career progression and compensation increases can feel closely tied to visibility rather than the quality or impact of the work itself. * The company is moving away from its fully remote approach. In-person events that were once optional are now mandatory, even for teams that may not directly benefit from them. The locations chosen do not always appear to consider the needs or circumstances of a globally distributed workforce, and employees are now required to go through formal accommodation processes simply to avoid international travel due to health or safety concerns.
