Pros

1Password is the best product out there and is on a very healthy trajectory as a company. There are challenges but no SaaS company in the world doesn't have challenges to deal with as they grow. The founders and CEO are amazing people should be proud of what they're accomplishing. For the most part, people go out of their way to support each other. That kindness is not something I've seen anywhere else. Working from home is nice too. No RTO for 1Password :)

Cons

Your experience may vary depending on the team you are part of, and this mostly depends on senior manager/director. One team specifically had a director come in and within a few months took what was the team that everyone wanted to be part of (and who were all hitting targets) and brought in a culture of unrealistic expectations, performance metrics overload, micromanagement and the assumption that people are not doing their job properly. The fear of being rated "poor" in the monthly performance reviews (you read that right - monthly reviews) is now what's driving the team and morale is destroyed . Other teams have evidently had similar issues, but there are other leaders in the GTM org who are beacons of sanity. Choose your team wisely... HR and Revenue Operations have had some negative sentiment toward them. It is fast pace and everyone is stretched at the time of writing, so you have to be willing to learn very quickly and prioritize your time effectively.

Pros

- Awesome founders when they were involved in the day-to-day - Great benefits

Cons

- Lost a lot of what made this place special during the scale up from 100-1000 employees - Hired a ton of outside leadership which ultimately resulted in a culture shift and many of the people who worked there the longest leaving

Pros

* Flexible working arrangements and quite a bit of autonomy. * A genuinely supportive manager and a collaborative, positive team environment. * Competitive pay for the role and responsibilities.

Cons

In recent years the company has shifted in a direction that feels very different from the organisation I originally joined. * There is a strong emphasis on a “high performance culture”, but there is limited structure or support in place to help employees develop the skills needed to meet those expectations. * Career progression and compensation increases can feel closely tied to visibility rather than the quality or impact of the work itself. * The company is moving away from its fully remote approach. In-person events that were once optional are now mandatory, even for teams that may not directly benefit from them. The locations chosen do not always appear to consider the needs or circumstances of a globally distributed workforce, and employees are now required to go through formal accommodation processes simply to avoid international travel due to health or safety concerns.
