Pros

-Unlimited vacation time that get's abused on the regular. Common excuses include: some sort of monthly medical appointment, hair/nail salon, aches from working out, hungover, etc. -Amazing work/life balance. WFH (work from home) is equivalent to "taking a day off". No one expects you to actually work at home! -Don't worry about deadlines, they don't exist here! -Paid lunch on Wednesdays. Feel free to pop in for 2-3 hours to grab your lunch and then take off! -If you're just looking for a job that pay's you to occasionally show up, then I definitely recommend applying for any opening at all. -If i was still working at 7Geese, I'd probably rate everything 5/5 as well, but I don't want any future/prospective 7Geese employees to be blindsided like I was.

Cons

-What does it say about a product when the company that created it doesn't even utilize it on a monthly basis. -Senior management is comprised of a bunch of people with inflated titles that don't understand what it means to be a leader -No accountability, everyone takes turns pinning the blame on another department -The CEO has a vision of what he wants the company to become, but he has zero clue how to get there. -Culture is repeated early and often, but unless you consider slacking off a culture, it doesn't exist

Pros

The atmosphere and culture. From my first day through the door, all I've seen is smiles and genuine interest in getting to know one another. The best part is it's never in a forced way. The true drive to be a company that speaks its own language and gives its employees the freedom to do their best work. The flexibility of the schedule is absolutely huge! This is something that can be huge for someone who has to commute or has a family and/or pets. Company events are very quickly sponsored by the company to help promote relationship building ESOP's are a real nice perk too The typical food, ping pong, lunch & learns and beer ring true but a low key benefit of 7Geese is the office. Being in Gastown and facing the mountain is beautiful, every day. Having a 7/10 gym available for free as well as a rooftop adds to the benefit.

Cons

Being a smaller company, there can be many hats worn however this is never anything that is forced, but rather available to the people that want to with a work from home, the policy comes the need to rely on communication tools like slack which can leave some messengers at the mercy of the person they're trying to get ahold of rather than always being able to find them near their desk. This is something I believe the entire tech world is going through and we are all starting to adapt.
